the watchtower bases their opposition to birthdays by two scriptures, saying something bad happened and god must have put it in there for a reason.

following their logic are there any other things jws shouldnt do because bad things happened in a couple of scriptures?.

i'm doing the fade but i reckon my big mouth could get me dfd.

i know plenty who've been dfd for fornication/adultery, but never met one dfd for speaking the truth.

i have heard on this discussion board numerous rules that apply to upcoming a$$emblies.

some are designed to stop people from meeting the opposite sex; others, to make sure everyone is always ready to recruit new members into the scam.

i heard that some km inserts have been urging those whose congregation has cleaning assignments to sit in the section that they are assigned to clean.

We're not df'd but went from going to every meeting and forty to sixty hours per month field service to asking the elders questions about Michael ect... Then we had one of their boys befriend us saying how he loves questions and so innocent hubby asked away. Next thing the cobe wants us in the woodshed and we said nope and he asked us if we were questioning the FDS which in reply we asked why would you ask that? That was our last meeting and it's been nine months-no visit, no asking for our hours but we heard through the grapevine from 2 witnesses that there was a local needs on apostacy a week after we were gone. Now noone calls and I get dirty looks in the grocery store but that's ok. I'm a better person for it.

Wondering about Hebrews 8:7

Sorry about that but here it is: Nocticed in the greek interlinear at Hebrews 8:7 the word covenant does not appear yet many bibles have added it. If taken in context, this chapter is actually talking about the priesthood. If it is about the priesthood, it would again show that the old covenant was never replaced by a new one. Any comments please?

what if you were informed that you are disfellowshipped and you flashed a huge smile and said, "nah.".

Hi Hillary,
The elder that told us lived there. We were only day workers that turned out to be weekend workers and sometimes extra days during the week. It was onlly the brothers that were allowed the job of taking the red hard covers off the books. He said they were the live forever in paradise book. We had to drive past where they were doing this to get to our job in food pro. Visitors wouldn't be able to see any of this for it was way behind the main building and all the garages behind the main building. They weren't allowed back there.
It was an older publication for I had never read it. Older than nine years ago. That's how long we were in and I never studied it. Sorry, that's all we were told, Hillary.

Your work doesn't go unnoticed, Barbara. And for those who doubt, you can now understand why children don't come forward and tell someone they can trust what happened to them. It just takes some negative thinking and comments that shames them from coming forward. It's not untill their old enough and can defend themselves physically that they can talk about it knowing the law is on their side as well.
How painful for that child to have to seek justice for something they didn't deserve. That elder should be locked up in a room with those eight guys and made to molest them. See how fast those pansies would change their rules. Shame on them and who so ever defends them. That's an emotional scar that a child carries with them for the rest of their lives. I know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
